On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Eddie O. Childers, loving husband, and father of two went to be with his Lord at the age of 74.

Eddie was born on February 21, 1947 in Baird, Texas to Buford and Maxine Childers. Shortly after graduating from Baird High School, he married Marsha Stanley, also of Baird, Texas on November 25, 1965. In 1967 the young couple moved to Jal, New Mexico starting a new family with their son Brad and daughter Tina while Eddie embarked upon his 46 years of dedicated service to El Paso Natural Gas Company.

Eddie had an incredible passion for his family, neighbors, and co-workers; always taking the time to teach, care for and lend a helping hand. He also possessed an unparalleled work ethic and compassion for others that often inspired and encouraged all that knew him.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Buford and mother, Maxine. He is survived by his wife, Marsha, two children Brad and Tina, three sisters, Valeria, Cathy & Deewanna, brother, Freddie, three grandsons, Justin, Chipper, William and one great-grandson Tommy Jay.
