Alphus Patrick White, Sr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away at The Crossing on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 84. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He was the king of telling great stories. A great outdoorsman, he enjoyed being outside especially fishing. He was an avid LSU fan. Alphus is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sally White; children, Pat White, Jr., Kathryn Jeansonne and husband, James, Darnell Wilson and friend, Milton, Ann LeJeune and husband, John, Mary Shaw and husband, Danny, DL Gay, and Ricky Gay; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gene White and wife, Paula, and Leroy White and wife, Glenda. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife and mother of his children, Vera Mae White; children, Virginia Gay, Marjorie Gay, and Earl Gay; parents, Pat and Melba White; brother, Billy Ray White. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Seale Funeral Home on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 10 a.m. until Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Park.
