Funeral services for Master Sergeant Joseph T. Kent who died suddenly at Charleston Air Force Base, Charleston, S. C., on January 25th, will be held at the chapel of Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood on Saturday morning, January 30th, at 10:00 o'clock. Graveside military rites will follow at Bethlehem cemetery in Montgomery County.
Sergeant Kent was born in Winona on August 12, 1917, the son of Ida Pearl Cox and Thomas Lee Kent.
He received his education, in Winona and Greenwood schools and had served 20 years in the Air Force. He was A Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jane Williams Kent; three sisters, Mrs. B. L. Buchanan of Coila, Mrs. Jesse J. Quinn of Greenwood and Miss Lula Frances Kent of Magee; and a brother, Wilburn H. Kent of Greenwood.
