It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Bruce announce her passing on May 1, 2021 at Mont St. Joseph in Prince Albert, SK.

Florence was born on September 6, 1930 in Saskatoon, SK to Francis and Olga Paul. She completed her grade 12 and continued her education at business college. Florence was employed at the Robertson Business College, CP Express, Lobstick Travel, Forestry Dept. and SIAST during her 46-year career as a secretary. Florence married Douglas Todd Bruce on May 23, 1952 and together they raised a family of three children. Florence was involved in many activities and service groups. She belonged to the IODE, Queen Elizabeth Circle, Bridge Club Duplicate Bridge Club and a member of the Wesley United Church since 1972. Florence enjoyed travelling, taking her grandchildren to day care and spending time at Chuck's cabin at Round Lake.

In 1972, Florence and Doug moved to Prince Albert to open up Lobstick Travel and Tours in the South Hill Mall. Florence was fortunate to be able to travel all over the world due to this business, but she would never tell you all the places she has seen because that wouldn't be proper.

Later in life, Florence was lucky enough to meet Charles Bloomfield her partner for twenty plus years. They had many adventures together travelling to Mexico, Fairmount, Los Angeles, Calgary and so many trips to Round Lake to Chuck's cabin. They spent many hours playing Scramble and Cribbage together whether it was on the beach, at the cabin or at home.

Florence will be lovingly remembered by her children: Robert (Marie) Bruce, David Bruce, Jamie (Ted) Zurakowski; grandchildren: Sami Zurakowski, Ben Zurakowski, Dan Prokopchuk, Josh Prokopchuk , Adam (Megan) Prokopchuk and Rebecca Prokopchuk; great grandchildren Archer and Thatcher; brother Donald (Mary) Paul; sister-in-law Maria Paul.

Florence is predeceased by her husband Douglas T. Bruce; parents Francis and Olga Paul; and brother Cecil Paul; and her partner Charles Broomfield.

In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Florence may be made to the Rose Garden Hospice, 450-1403 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK S6V 7J4.

Private Service for family and invited guests will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Calvary United Church, 114 25 Street East, Prince Albert, SK. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
