J. Davis Welch dies Old Masons Home
Funeral Services Were Held on Wednesday.
Jefferson Davis Welch, 87, died at the Old Mason's Home Tuesday night of last week. He was a member of the LaGrange Masonic Lodge and had been a resident of the Home here for the past nine years.
Mr. Welch was born in Trimble County and had resided in Shelbyville for a number of years where he made many friends because of his jovial nature and kind and unassuming manner. Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. Eva Stafford, Carrollton;Mrs. Lynn Daupert, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Pearl Perry, Chicago; three sons, Henry Welch, Terre Haute, Ind., Robert Smith Welch and Jeffy Welch, Austin, Ind.
Funeral Services were conducted at 2 p.m. last Wednesday at Shannon's Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne H. Bell with burial in Grove Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Pearce, L.F. Morgan, Leonard Johnson, R.L. Shannon and Mr. Matthews.
