Our dear Grandmom was the wife of our honored grandfather, Harry Dell Anderson. She was the 'stabilizing 'influence in our family, always, & especially so after our Grandfather's death in 1940-A dedicated, consecrated, 'prayer warrior', as that was the job she was sure that God had assigned her.Told us that she gave her life 'to the Lord' at age nine.Said she was on her way to the 'fishing hole', one Sunday & as the church bells began ringing, she felt , strongly, that they were saying ti=o her"come to church".She went on for a bit, but the bells persisted"come to church"!!SO, she put aside her pole, & went, tho barefooted, to that old-time Methodist church meeting, went to the alter& laid down her life to God, proclaiming Christ Jesus as her Saviour & Lord over her life.-And what a life it was!Mother of Charles Cecil, Eugene Ernest,Violet Nadine,Virgil Corwin, Paul Alreka, Josephine Lela,Cornelious Jerome, Albert Irvin as well as two who died soon after birth;Hattie Marie & Niles Elwin.Of her surviving children, she buried 3 of her sons(Virgil,17 Mar.1952-Eugene, 18 Sept.1968-C.Jerome,10 June,1966 )w/great grief, while holding on tightly to God for strength.Soft-spoken, gentle,non-complaining,her life was a fine example to ALL, & a wonderful pattern for her children grandchildren, grgrandchildren.
