Billings Man Taken by Death--- Cornelius Belder, 77, a retired farmer who had lived in Billings for the last three years, succumbed Wednesday at 5:20 a.m. in a local hospital. He had resided in Montana since 1909, having lived at Wibaux and Hardin before coming to Billings. Mr. Belder had made his home here with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Staehnke, 540 Clark avenue. Survivors in additon to Mrs Staehnke are another daughter, Mrs FB Hopkins, Burlington WY and a son, John Belder of Townsed.
Funeral services will be conducted I at 2 p.m. Friday at Settergren's funeral Chapel with the Rev George S. Sloan, pastor of the First Congregational Church officiating and burial will be in the family plot at Hardin. Mrs Belder died at Hardin in 1932.
Mr Belder was born in Holland on Nov 17 1864 and came to the US in 1873 with his parents to reside at Springfield IL. He was married in 1888 in Springfield to Miss Sarah Edna Burdick and they lived in Iowa, North and South Dakota before coming to Montana to reside at Wibaux in 1909. The family moved to Hardin in 1926.
