Brother of Petal resident dies
NEWTON -Services will be Saturday at New Fellowship Baptist Church for Alton M. Boggan, 59, of Hickory, who died Wednesday at Veterans Administration Hospital at Jackson.
The body will lie in state at Stevens Funeral Home in Meridian until Saturday. Burial will be at New Fellowship Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewel Smith Boggan; two sons, Mitchell Boggan and Frank Boggan, and a daughter, Charlene Boggan, all of Hickory; and two sisters Mrs. A. E. (Christine) Craft of Petal and Mrs. Stanley (Sarah) Whitman of Enterprise.

She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She is Assistant Manager and pharmacist with Treasury Drug Center in Tullahoma, Tenn.
Mr. Boggan is a graduate of East Central Junior College and Mississippi State, with a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. He is employed at Arnold Engineering Development Center, Air Force Station as an analytical engineer.
The wedding will be February 9, at 1 p.m. in the First United Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma, Tenn.
