Jon Willard Croy was born July 26th, 1940 in Cogar, OK the son of Willard and Ruby Croy. He completed this life on May 9th, 2021. His family moved to Oklahoma City when he was 6 years old and attended Capitol Hill High school, graduating in 1959. Jon went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Electronics from OSU Tech in 1964. In 1966 he met the love of his life Carolyn "Kay" Self. They were later married in 1969.

Jon had an entrepreneurial spirit and In 1966 co-founded C&M Products, a small service and replacement HVAC parts business. He started selling, not only in Oklahoma, but across the country and in 1984 turned C&M into CMP Corporation. CMP continued to grow and became the largest independent compressor parts business internationally.

He was very civic minded. He first joined Del City's Board of Adjustments in 1973. In 1977 he joined the Del City Chamber of Commerce and Planning Commission and in 1979 was presented with the first leadership award from the Chamber of Commerce. He loved to travel with his family and would vacation every summer in Crested Butte, Colorado to escape the Oklahoma heat. He was also a lifelong car fanatic and enjoyed working on cars when he was young, but really enjoyed taking his kids to car shows.

He is preceded in death by his father Willard and mother Ruby Croy.
