Daughter of John Schmidt and Maria Weiss.

Mrs. Mollie REISWIG, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. SCHMIDT, was born June 25, 1886, in Lehigh, Kansas. She was married to John REISWIG September 25, 1905, in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. To this union were born fourteen children, seven sons and seven daughters, all of whom survive her.
They moved to Beaver County in 1906 and have made their home there since.
In January last year Rev. T. J. Gamble of Stratford and Rev. J. A. Land, then pastor at Balko, visited in the home. The deceased along with other members of the family trusted Christ as their Savior and in the revival services being held at the church, they made a public profession of their faith. The brief time of her Christian life was marked by a consistent Christian living and regular attendance on the services of the church.
She died January 4, 1936, after the truck in which she was riding was struck by a train. Her loved ones have the consolation of knowing that she died without prolonged suffering. She was 49 years, six months and 10 days of age.
She is survived by her husband; seven sons, Oliver, Fred, Chaney, Oklahoma; Harvey, of Follett; and Ralph, Ezra, Ira and Delmar Dean, of Balko; seven daughters, Pearl, Emma, Esther, Mildred, Rachel, Mary and Alberta, all of Balko; her mother, Mrs. J. F. SCHMIDT of Lodi, California; five sisters, Mrs. Mary WEITZ, Mrs. W. W. SMITH, Mrs. J. L. OLENBERGER, Mrs. John VOELKER, and Mrs. Sam EHRLICH, all of whom live in California; two brothers, H. F. of Oregon and Theodore of California; besides a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
Funeral services were in charge of Rev. J. M. Sibley, pastor of the Perryton Baptist Church, and were held at the Balko church at 2:30 o’clock, Wednesday afternoon. After which the remains were laid to rest in the Balko cemetery.
