MAGNA-Willam Andrew Johnson, 78, passed away peacefully at home November 4, 2007. He was born to Burt and Glenda Johnson November 26, 1928 in Salina, Utah. Dad was a navy veteran of World War II. He married Marilyn Joyce Miller, August 10, 1951. They had three daughters. He was a farm boy who had no use for modern technology.

He was known for telling stories of his youth, working the family farm, and working on the railroad for Kennecott, where he worked for 40 years. Dad was always there to lend a helping hand when anyone needed it, but was never one to ask for help for anything. Instead, he found creative ways of resolving the latest challenge facing him. Dad enjoyed camping and water skiing with his family, believing the legacy he left behind would be memories of time spent together.

He is survived by his daughters, Jeri Brydson, Kathy (Todd) Smith, and Laura Johnson; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, wife, brothers, sisters, and a grandson. His daughters would like to thank Dad's neighbors for watching over him and the VA Hospital for their care.

Funeral Services will be held 12 noon Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 W. 2700 So., where friends and family may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 11-11:45 a.m.
Interment: Sandy City Cemetery.
