Elizabeth was the wife of John Seward / Soward (1799-1881). They married in 1823 in Greene County, OH moving to Michigan sometime before the 1850 Census. They were married 41 years til her death in 1864. Elizabeth's age at the time of her death was 61 years, 7 months and 18 days. Husband, John, removed to St Joseph County, Indiana some time after her death, and remarried. Two of their sons also lived in St. Joseph. Son, George, is the administrator for John's Estate at his death in 1881. In the probate records, surviving heirs of John (thus children of John and Elizabeth) are named. At least 2 of the heirs named were grandchildren (George and Jackson Seward). The following children were named in said record: George Seward (administrator), James P. Seward, Sally Ann Painter, John Seward, and Elizabeth Tripp. The remaining children of John and Elizabeth died prior to 1881 and include: Susan, William, Joseph, and Johnathan. Husband, John's burial place remains unknown at this time.
