Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Hedwig B. "Hedi" Adams, whom he married January 11, 1954 and who preceded him in death on January 1, 2010; loving father of Susan M. Adams of Naperville, IL, and Mary Jane (Jim) Roesler of Batavia, IL; cherished grandfather of Joshua, John (fiancée, Ashley Laubsted) and Daniel (fiancée, Cristen Nottingham) Roesler; devoted son of the late Rudolph and Helen (nee Kwiatak) Adams, dear brother of Michael (Mary Lynn) Adamczyk of Elmhurst, IL, the late Helene (the late Joe) Pletka, fond uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.
Casey grew up on Chicago's West Side and was a graduate of Farragut High School, He attended St. Procopius College (now Benedictine University) in Lisle, IL for two years and then served with the U.S. Army for three years in Germany during the Korean War.
Casey owned and operated Adams Machine Shop in Naperville, manufacturing tools for piano tuning. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. His hobbies included working on model planes, trains and boats with his grandchildren, fishing, sailing and traveling with his wife, Hedi.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 16, 2021, 2:00-6:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Current health guidelines state that no more than 250 individuals at a time may pay their respects to the family, and guests are required to wear masks and follow social distancing procedures.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 17, 11:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.
Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
