James C. Anderson, Sr., 71 of Pittsville, passed away on July 15, 2018 at Gretna Medical Center. Born December 20, 1946 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son of William Anderson and Lola Berger Anderson. He was also preceded in death a brother, Howard Anderson. He was last employed at BGF in Altavista and was a member of the New Ridgeway United Methodist Church, Pittsville, Va.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Cherise E. Anderson; a son, James C. Anderson, Jr.; a daughter, Lavena Espinosa; two brothers, Lynwood Anderson (Carolyn) and Eddie Anderson; five grandchildren; a host of other relatives.
Burial will be in New Ridgeway United Methodist Church Cemetery.
