Chester is survived by one daughter, Jane (Richard) Schrieder, one son, John McClain, 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and one sister, Delores Yates.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Chuck McClain, one son, Chester D. McClain Jr. and one daughter, Kathleen McClain.
Chester retired from the United States Navy. He was a Senior Chief Aviation Mate.
