DENISON-Franklin A. Sr. Age 90, of Saugatuck, MI, and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, died Friday, March 17, 2000. In 1948, he and his late wife Gertrude purchased Broward Marine in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In the mid 1970's he opened the Saugatuck Broward Marine plant at the mouth of the Kalamazoo River. Broward Marine Inc. is America's largest aluminum custom boat builder. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Winslow Denison in 1997. Survivors: children, Christopher Denison, Frank Denison Jr., Kenelm and Vicki Denison, three grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, sister-in-law Jacqueline Russell and Janet Winslow Ryder, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services 11 AM, Wednesday at the Community Church of Douglas in Douglas, MI. Burial Riverside Cemetery, Saugatuck Twp., MI. Visiting 6-8 PM, Tuesday, Saugatuck Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, and 10-11 AM, Wednesday at the church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2000, at 11 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Memorials may be made to the Schreiber Art and Foundation for Cancer Research.
