He was born on December 24, 1958 in Rushville to the late Edward and Dorothy (Self) Bowling.
Jon was a 1979 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. He was raised in the First Baptist Church. Jon loved working on the farm for Fry Farms as a man of all traits. He enjoyed being outdoors; hunting, gardening, and fishing.
Jon is survived by his siblings, William D. "Butch" (Renea) Bowling of Rush County, Paul E. (Susan) Bowling of Rush County, Kathy (Larry) Angle of Greenfield, Lesa (Mark) English of Falmouth, Mike Bowling of Greenfield, and Mary J. (James) Abrams of Rushville. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Jon is preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Robert Bowling and sister, Linda Ann Bowling.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Dennis Goins and Tyler Gettinger presiding.
Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 am until the time of service in the mortuary.
Burial will be held in Rushville East Hill Cemetery.
