Doris Thompson died Nov 10, 2006 at the age of 87. She was born in New Lathrop, Michigan November 11, 1918 the daughter of Herbert and Alvina (Fletcher) Miller.
She was a homemaker. Doris married Cecil Thompson on January 9, 1939 and he preceded her in death May 27, 2001. She is survived by her children, Shirley Palakta of Elsie, Paul (Sandra) Thompson of Weaverville, NC, Sharon (David) Zell of Ovid, and Cinda (Karl) Vincent of Virginia, eleven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren and her brother Earl Miller. In addition to her husband, Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lyman Miller and her son-in-law Steve Palatka, SR.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday November 13, 2006 at the Houghton Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Homes, Ovid with Rev. Bob Prange officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Saturday, 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
