On Tuesday, May 11, 2021 Diane Anderson Wilson, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah at the age of 85.

Diane was born May 5, 1936 to Lucille (Peg) Gowans Anderson and Joseph Sterling Anderson. She was the youngest of their three children. On August 3, 1956, she married Henry Kent Wilson. They raised four sons, Doug, Greg, Eric, and Paul, and one daughter, Jennie.

Diane's passion was her family. Her husband, five children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren all felt her unconditional love for them through her many acts of service and caring concern. Her acts of service extended to the community and the church. Diane worked tirelessly as a volunteer at the American Fork Hospital from 1992 until the spring of 2020 with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each year the December babies were tucked into Christmas stockings sewn by her hand for their trip home from the hospital. She served in many church callings, including as a ward and stake Relief Society President, and on the Relief Society General Board. She also volunteered for many years at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple where she served every week at 5:00 AM. Diane had a strong work ethic and the energy to accompany it, knew how to be a friend, and was tireless in helping others. Her kind heart and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother and father, and by her brother, Sterling Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Kent, her brother Doug (wife Janet) Anderson, her children: Doug (wife Michele Lillie), Greg (wife Leslie, children Rich; Amy and her husband Tyler Mears and their children Dean and Norah; Brianna; and Jeff), Eric (wife Jill, children Clay, Dave, and Danny), Jennifer (husband Jon, child Anders) Yonk, and Paul (wife Tuulikki Tammi, child Ilmari), and by in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends, and family too numerous to list but not forgotten.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Stake Center of the American Fork East Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 825 East 500 North, American Fork, Utah with a viewing from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. A viewing will be held at the same location Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Flowers may be sent to 825 East 500 North, American Fork, Utah.
