BANNING, Calif. — William "Bill" Condon, 71, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Oct. 31, 2007. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m., Nov. 7 at Weaver Mortuary Chapel, Beaumont, Calif. Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Nov. 8 at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Beaumont, Calif. Final resting place will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif.
William is survived by his wife, Maureen, Banning, Calif., son, Shawn William Condon, Seal Beach, Calif., mother, Celeste Condon, Clinton, Iowa, brother, Daniel Condon, DeWitt, Iowa, sisters, Mary Lou Jondle, Port Townsend, Wash.; Carmen Rolfes, Clinton, Iowa; and Joan Eittreim, Laguna Hills, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Brendon and Erin Condon.
William Condon was born on March 27, 1936, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he graduated from the University of Iowa. He was the Manager for the City of Long Beach, Calif. for 20 years.
