Dovie Ella was the daughter of Daniel Andrew and Katie Lessie JAMES Read. Dovie married Willard A.C. Newton May 20, 1937. They had two children; Wanda Sue, whom they lost Aug 23,1996 to cancer. They also have a son, Willard Read Newton.
Aunt Dovie was a beautiful, kind and very sweet lady....the real southern LADY. She was like an older sister to me and I loved her so much and I'm going to miss our long visits and talks.
