Hulon Ivy Daniell, age 80, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021. He was greatly loved and admired by his wife of 59 years, Virginia Lee Blackston Daniell and their four children who were by his side as he passed into God's hands.
He was born in Buchanan, Georgia, on June 4, 1940 to Elfie Lewis and Martin Alexander Daniell. He retired from General Motors on December 1, 1990 and Caraustar Industries on March 31, 2006. He was a faithful loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He loved spending time with his family, spoiling the grands, woodworking, puzzles, playing golf and lending a helping hand.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Brody Lee Bates; five brothers, Elton Daniell, Calvin C. Daniel, Chalmers E. Daniell, Robbie Neal Daniel, and Melvin R. Daniell; and two sisters, Lillian D. Camp, and Oberia D. Bradley.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lee Daniell; his children, Angela (Dan) Coxwell, Scott (Kay) Daniell, Tammy (Vince) Bates, and Stacy (Kathy) Daniell; Grandchildren, Daniel Ryan Coxwell, Jesse (Betsy) Coxwell, Tyler (Lindsey) Daniell, Brockton Walter Bates, Nicholas Ivy Daniell, and Addison LaRose Daniell; Great-grandchildren, Connor Ryan Coxwell, Ella Ray Coxwell, Savannah Grace Coxwell, Ashlyn Vivian Daniell-Shannon, Blakely Ann Daniell, and Cooper Dean Daniell; one brother Alvin (Shirley) Daniell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Brantley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Scott Daniell, Jesse Coxwell, Tyler Daniell, Nicholas Daniell, Mike Parks and Larry Roberson; honorable pallbearer, Addison Daniell.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia Association at https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate
