"Funeral services for Alfonso Abbatiello, 81, of 1022 Lake Avenue, Schenectady, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home in that city and at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated. He died at his home Thursday after a short illness. A native of Italy, he lived in Schenectady for the past 60 years. He retired in 1945 from the General Elecric Co. where he had been employed for 33 years. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. Survivors include three sons, Anthony Abbatiello of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Alfred and Albert Abbatiello of Schenectady; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Lezzi of Schenectady; a brother, Mario Abbatiello of Staten Island; 14 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
