He was a proud veteran of the US Navy during the Korean war. Robert was the President and Fire Chief of the South Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Company District #3. He was a lifetime member with service of 60 years. Robert worked for NJ Bell for 33 years. He was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of 68 years of Old Bridge; Sons Robert Ritz Jr and wife Irene of Blythwood, SC; Timothy Ritz and wife Judy of Crosby, TN; Daughter Virginia Kilduff and husband Denis of Old Bridge, NJ. 4 Grandchildren Erik Ritz and wife Stacy, Corey Ritz, Casey Kilduff and Denis Kilduff Jr. 3 Great Grandchildren Kaelyn, Aiden and Jacklyn Ritz. Brothers Thomas, James, William, Sister Jean Timper, sister-in-law Yolanda and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge, NJ, followed by burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick, NJ.
