Wayne Allen Ackerman, attorney at law, age 70 passed away on the farm where he was raised and had lived his entire life, while mowing his yard on May 18th, 2021.

He was born at Bentonville, Arkansas to Henry and Pauline Ackerman. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1968 and from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1977. He was a lawyer for the common man and represented average people with everyday problems and always strived to earn his pay and do them a good job. He also did many wills, family trusts and deeds. He loved his family and enjoyed hosting get togethers at his beautiful home on his farm near Decatur. He also hosted deer hunting on his farm for his nephews Jeff and Will, they looked forward to it every fall and winter. He kept the family farm so his nieces and nephews and their kids could see where their parents were raised.

Wayne was an avid motorcycle rider and rode on many long rides in Arkansas and the Western states. Unknown to most people, he was an excellent horseman and cowboyed in the Flint Hills of Kansas with his brother several summers while in college.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Elaine Tillman and Irene Owens; two brothers Buddy and Rolla Ackerman.

Wayne is survived by his life partner Patty King; three sisters Mary Tipton of Bigelow, Arkansas, Frances Milliken of Bentonville, Arkansas and Catherine Pettus and husband Glenn of Marshall, Arkansas; two brothers Ed Ackerman and wife Sharon of Pryor, Oklahoma and John Ackerman and wife Tonia of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; brother-in-law Harley Tillman of Pineville, Missouri and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne will be dearly remembered and greatly missed by his family, friends, and the people he represented in Benton County for the last 44 years.
