Virginia Mae Pyles Dewitt, 87 of Newburg, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Preston Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born on August 28, 1933 in Newburg, daughter of the late Albert Forrest and Ruby Viola Heiskell Pyles. Virginia graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1951. She loved canning, having picnics, traveling, working with her flowers and spoiling her grandkids. She was a member of the Birdscreek United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Sunshine Girls and enjoyed selling Mary Kay. Virginia is survived by two sons, Rickey L Chidester, Mount Israel, Danny Allen DeWitt, Birdscreek; two daughters, Deborah Lynne Adams and husband Wesley, Reedsville, Wendy Colleen Comp and husband Jack, Kingwood; six grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" Adams and companion Holly, Wesley Adams, Jennifer Adams and companion Dan, Melissa Riggleman and husband Kenny, Mickey Comp, Danielle Street and husband Preston; twelve great-grandchildren, Tyler Adams and Jessica, Travis Adams, Helen Adams, Caleb Adams, Gracie Adams, Colleen Sprouse, and twins Carson and Reece Comp, Kayden Comp, Zach, Landon, and Bailey Street; two great-great grandchildren, Blake and Colton Sprouse; two brothers, Milton Arnold Pyles and Mary Jane, Fleetwood, PA, Robert Pyles and Brenda, Fleetwood, PA; two sisters, Pauline Deloris Shafferman, Birdscreek, Bessie Poling, Clarksburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Chidester in 1953, second husband, Darrel Blake DeWitt in 2013; two great-grandsons, Parker and Hunter Street; two brothers, Harold Pyles and Johnnie Pyles. Family and friends will be received at the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown St. Newburg, WV, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 2-7 pm, and Wednesday May 26, 2021 from 9am until time of service at 11 am with Pastor Terry Wilt officiating. Interment will follow at the Damon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donation can be made to Birdscreek United Methodist Church, Attn: Steve and Jeanene Moran P.O. Box 82 Newburg WV 26410.
