Mrs. Bowman, 78, peacefully passed away on Jan. 10, 2012, at Golden Living Center. She was born in Brookhaven on July 10, 1933, to Thad and Loucyle Bowman.
She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and pursued a career at LSU in New Orleans, then at the University of South Florida, Tampa, where she retired. She moved back to Brookhaven in 1997.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Neil Bowman; and niece, Laurie Burnett.
Survivors are her sister, Peggy Castilaw and husband, Proby; nieces, Carolyn Logan and husband, Butch, Angie Spencer and husband, Bruce and Iris Waldrop and husband, Doyle; cousin, David Smith; and many great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Little Bahala Cemetery Fund, 2845 Turkey Trail, Wesson, MS 39191.
