Josiah C. Smith, 71 years old died at the home of his son, Lawrence Smith one mile south of Cloverland, at 11:30 o'clock this morning of pneumonia. He is survived by Lawrence, McDonald Smith of Cloverland, Ida Price, Mary Myrick, Clara Dean, Maryon Smith, Russel Smith of Terre Haute, Ethel Johnson of Staunton, James Smith, Detroit Mich. Funeral services will be held at the church in Cloverland at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be at Carpenter Cemetery. Mr. Smith was Commander of John P. Baird Post No. 59, G.A.R.(Grand Army of the Republic) of Terre Haute."
