Mr Sorenson had spent his entire life in and around Harlan. For the last twelve years he had been manager of the Fullerton Lumber Co. at Corley, Iowa.
On January 4, 1911 he was married to Rachel Cushing. To this union seven children were born. His wife and all seven children survive him. The children are; Mrs Erma Conder of Paramount, California, Mrs Viola Briggs of Des Moines, Howard of Harlan, Mrs Mary S. Slates of Chico, California, Paul of Willow of California, Kenneth of Corley, and Robert of Harlan. He also leaves twenty grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two brothers; Tinus of Illinois and Pete of Canada. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Pauley Funeral Home with Rev. Lyle Paulsen officiating. Burial was in the Harlan cemetery. Pallbearers were Andrew Sondergard, Al Christensen, Wm. Lippold, Victor Johnson, Andrew Petersen and Willard D. Schiltz.
