Opal B. Long, 82, of Senatobia, MS died Saturday, February 15, 2003 at Senatobia Convalescent Center. Ms. Long was the retired postmistress at Askew Post Office for 33 years and a member of Senatobia Latter Day Saint Church. Services were held Sunday, February 16 at Latter Day Saint Church in Senatobia with interment in Longtown Cemetery near Crenshaw. Pallbearers were Ted Welch, Bobby Welch, Lenny Luther, Johnny Welch, Farrell Holliday, and Phil Garrett. Alan Holliday officiated.

Ms. Long was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm T. Long. She is survived by two daughters, Lynn L. Massey of Senatobia, MS and Connie L. O'Neal of Askew, MS; one sister, Marie Wilson of Petal, Miss.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
