In 1995 she opened her daycare business and foster care business motivated by her love of children. She had a special gift and loved helping both parents and children alike. Ruby was a proud owner and purchased her first home at age 30. In 2000 Ruby started working for Turning Point Drug and Rehabilitation Center where she worked as a Dietician. She loved working with her coworkers as well as the clients. Ruby had a passion for fashion, family, cooking, dancing and listening to music. Ruby was the greatest Mother.
Ruby was an active member of The Beautiful Zion Church and inspired others to believe in God. Ruby would always say "I may not be where I want to be but thank God I am not where I used to be."
Ruby is survived by her father, John Gerald Parks, and mother, Sally Louise Mack, both of Fresno, CA; husband, Floyd Ray, Sr., twin brother, Ruben Parks, brother, John Parks; sisters, Dominique Webster, Jeanine Parks, and Ashia Parks; three beautiful daughters, Shaniqua Ray, Zelvonie Ray and Jordan Ray; and one son, Floyd Ray, Jr., all of Fresno, Ca; sister-in-law, Karima Parks, and mother-in-law, Linda Miller, all of Fresno, CA; granddaughter, Ruby Diamond Ray of Fresno, CA. She leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and close friends, Valerie Belt, Danielle Washington, Lashanda Wheeler, Linda Harris and Tisha Teeda Cummings, all of Fresno, CA. Also BFF forever Angel Smith.
