She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. She was employed by the City of Indianapolis, for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department in Case Records for 18 years.
She is survived by her children, James Hawkins, Tia Hawkins and Mia Hawkins; father, Ernest Simmons; mother, Patricia L. Holder Simmons; stepfather, Joseph William; siblings, Ernest W. Simmons, Deangra Williams, Jason Simmons, Taina Logwood, Lisa Person, Greg William and Craig William; and grandmother, Lillian Holder.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Stuart Mortuary Chapel, with calling on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Interment will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
