Actor. He was best known to film viewers as the voice of Sebastian in the 1989 Disney film "The Little Mermaid." He made his acting debut in 1976 on the television series "Ball Four." His later television credits included such series as "Enos," "All My Children," "The Cosby Show," "New York Undercover," and "Law & Order." He made his "big screen" debut in the 1988 film "Bird." After "The Little Mermaid," he would continue to voice the character Sebastian for much of his career including reprising the role for several other Disney projects including "The Little Mermaid" TV series, the direct-to-video "Little Mermaid 2," the "House of Mouse" short collection, and many more. He would also lend his voice to the 2000 animated film "Dinosaur" as well. He was also known for acting on the stage, appearing in musicals like "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Pippin" on Broadway while also originating the part of Mufasa for "The Lion King" Tony award winning Broadway musical.
