Aaron Durell Penick, 94, of Flowood, MS, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at his daughter's home. Visitation will be 12-2pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021 and chapel service at 2pm at Ott & Lee Brandon. Graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Aaron was born on January 12, 1927 in Vardeman, MS to the late Dawson and Ollie Penick. He lived in many different parts of the state but considered Brandon, MS his home. He enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in WWII. He spent his professional career as an iron worker building many landmarks around the state, including the Ross Barnett Spillway. He loved the Lord and loved his family. His favorite hobbies were fishing, traveling the country with his late wife, and woodworking. He had a talent of creating something beautiful out of nothing. He took pride in his children, grandchildren, and recently his beloved great-granddaughter.

Aaron is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Penick; parents, Dawson Penick, Ollie Penick; brothers, D.O. "PeeWee" Penick, and Robert Penick.

He is survived by his children, Stacy Wallace of Flowood and James Durell Penick (Sherri) of Flowood; grandchildren, Clark Wallace, Aaron Wallace (Allison), and Jed Thompson; siblings, Estelle Marion and Ernie Penick (Carolyn); great-granddaughter, Nora Wallace.

Pallbearers will be Durell Penick, Aaron Wallace, Clark Wallace, Darryl Penick, Robbie Penick, and Dusty Penick.
