Donald W. Willis, age 79, passed away at his home in St. Augustine, FL on September 10, 2018. Don was born in Damascus, VA to Ruby Neely and John Avery Willis, and honorably served in the US Army. He retired from the insurance profession and loved singing in the St. Augustine Shores Methodist Church choir.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthann Baer; daughters Jill Oper (Chris) Germany; Tracie Franklin (Steve) Virginia; step-daughter Lee Ann Nelson, Maryland; and a total of 7 grand and step-grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Don was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and a step-daughter.
Memorial services will be private. Don's ashes will be returned to his beloved Virginia mountains.
