Sallie was a faithful member of Brandon Baptist Church and volunteered at the Triune Mercy Center. She was in the insurance business for over 35 years and was an avid Clemson fan.
She is survived by her sister, Patricia H. Smathers; nieces, Joyce Roper, Judy Baker, Jane Ashe, Pam Bame, Theresa Hurst; nephews, David Smathers and Harold Smathers.
Sallie was preceded in death by her siblings, William "Bill" Harkey, and Delores Nixon.
Burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
