Cynthia H. Andrews
1959-2021
Cynthia (Cindy) Haschke Andrews, 61, of Houston, Texas, passed away April 1, 2021.
Cindy was born to George Henry Haschke and Joyce Parker Tudor, May 28, 1959, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Sharpstown High School in 1977. She married Emmett B. Andrews Jr. in 1984, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised two children.
She is survived by Emmett B. Andrews Jr, her spouse, daughter Casey Elaine Hochschild (daughter) and Evan Michael Hochschild (spouse), son Keith Nolan Andrews and Kristen Nicole Andrews (spouse), grandchildren Kiley Noel Andrews (5), Paige Frances Hochschild (5), Edelle Jean Hochschild (4), Joseph Wagner Hochschild (7 months), Kade Nolan Andrews (due May, 2021).
She was preceded in death by George Henry Haschke (father), Joyce Parker Tudor (mother), David Keith Haschke (brother).
Cindy worked in the Oil and Gas Industry as a draftsmen and mapper for various companies through the many ups and downs of the oil markets. She grew up fishing and crabbing with her family and developed a lifelong love of the beach. The fishing and crabbing gave way to shell collecting and she enjoyed years of collecting shells with her family and friends. Another of her passions was arts and crafts. Needlepoint, knitting, quilt making, wind chimes, stained/leaded glass and just about everything in between. She loved it all and was good at it. She had a creative soul. While she continued these passions throughout her life, nothing compared to her grandchildren. They are a drop everything, go anywhere, do anything kind of love. Cindy had a special and unique relationship with each one. Like the country western song says, "it's a love without end, amen". She liked going country western dancing, and her and Emmett went just enough to be bad at it while enjoying every minute of it.
Due to the ongoing health crisis, and the suddenness of Cindy's passing, a Celebration of Life is in the planning stages and will be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family requests that donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) at www.jdrf.org. The family would also like to thank Cindy's sisters by heart, Lynda Hightower, and Marie Espinosa for being the loving sisters she never had by blood.
