Sarah Alice Moore, age 34, died Wednesday, August 30, 1944, at Hurley Hospital. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Thursday, September 7, 1944, from the Canaan Baptist Church, Reverend James Dudley officiating. Burial in River Rest cemetery. Services by Robinson and Chandler funeral home. She was born in Gaffney, South Carolina, May 12, 1910, the daughter of Eugene and Elizabeth Simpson, and had lived in Flint 15 years. She was married October 1, 1927 at Flint, Michigan. Was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church. Surviving our: husband, William A; father, Eugene F. Simpson; two sisters, Mayruth Philpott, of Chicago, Illinois, Hattie Mae Simpson of Philadelphia, PA; seven children Alice Elizabeth, Thelma Marie, Lavert Charles, Gloria Dean, Joe Louis, Marley, George Donald and a host of friends.
