Benton Carl Perry passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at his home in Wilburton, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family. He was 76. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.

He was born February 21, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Benton Coopwood Perry and Marjorie Ruth Griffith Perry. He attended school in Stillwater and at the age of 16 his parents signed for him to join the U.S. Navy. He spent his working career in law enforcement. He married Dana Hart on February 19, 2000 in Moore, Oklahoma. After retirement he and Dana moved to a little piece of country northeast of Wilburton where they made their home enjoying the quietness and privacy of nature.

Benton's hobbies/interests included auxiliary percussion, creating music, woodcarving, riding motorcycles, traveling, working on the mission field with different churches, and spending time with his family. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Dana of the home; two stepdaughters, Amanda Hillman and husband Justin of Prague, OK., and Angela Miller and husband James of Braggs, OK; one sister, Gayla Dollar and husband Douglas of Stillwater, OK; brother, Stephen Perry of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren, Adelle, Jeremiah, Annabell, Allie, Joseph, Judah, Jacob, Alizabeth, Alivia, Keagan, and Amelia; nieces/nephews, Karen, Katherine, and Rodney. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Tamara Cruzan.
