Died 5:40 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 1987, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Fordoche and resident of Livonia. He was a laborer and a retired employee of the Pointe Coupee Parish Police Jury. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, Livonia, 8 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, Livonia, 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by Father Koppel. Burial in church cemetery. Survived by wife, Abbie Pourciau Bergeron, Livonia; two sons, Carlton Bergeron, Livonia, and Roy Bergeron, Torbert; three daughters, Lillie Mae Fabre, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Stanley (Mary Jane) David, Frisco, and Nora Webre, Mix; a sister, Mae Torres, Maringouin; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Alcide and Edmay Bergeron. He was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church.
