Mrs. Myra Ann Pruitt Boyd, 69, died Wednesday night (November 8, 2007) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
She was a native of Lanier County but had resided most of her life in Waycross. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Boyd; her parents, Fred Pruitt and Inez Carter Pruitt; a grandson, Freddie Lee Musgrove, Jr.; and three brothers, Kenny Pruitt, Curtis Pruitt, and Earl Pruitt. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God.
The survivors include three daughters, Glenda Allen of Waycross, Martha Kay Musgrove (husband Freddie, Sr.) of Millwood, Debra Bowen of Blackshear; a son, Chester E. Boyd (wife Andrea L.) of Waycross; five sisters, Christine Cane of Kentucky, Wauldene Newbern of Waycross, Martha Jean Harris of Nashville, Evelyn Bennett of Sparks, Diane Montique of Valdosta; a brother, John Wesley Pruitt of Lakeland; a sister-in-law, Gladys Pruitt of Blackshear; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday (November 10, 2007) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Musgrove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6 until 8.
