WILLIAMS, Michael Charles, 68, of Benwood, W.Va., died Wednesday, March 23, 2005 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Wheeling on April 22, 1926, the son of the late Ellsworth and Ellie Flatley Williams.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church; the owner of Mike's Distributing; a U.S. Army Veteran; a Trustee and member of the V.F.W. of St. Clairsville and Moundsville; a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1304; a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles; and a member of the Lansing Sportsmen's Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Helt; and his first wife, Theresa Prochaska Williams.

Michael is survived by his wife, Thelma Prochaska Williams; seven step children; and six grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-9 p.m. Friday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 3828 Jacob Street, Beiswenger Chapel, Wheeling, W.Va., where services will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Patrick Condron officiating.

Interment will follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens.
