Mary Buckner Sutton graduated from Rockport High School in 1882. She was in the 2nd class to graduate from Rockport. Around 1883 Mary went to school in Kirksville, Missouri. Possibly attending at the First District NormalSchool graduating with a degree to teach. Mary became a teacher.

My mother and her five sisters were all teachers, and her three brothers, doctors. The fourth and youngest was a dentist.

"Funeral Services For Mrs. Mary Graham, Former Resident
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Graham, retired Wyoming school teacher, were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Howard mortuary, Denver, Colo., with burial services being conducted at Green Hill cemetery, Rock Port, on Friday, Sep.9.
Mrs. Graham died Sep 3 in a Denver hospital after an illness of six months. She was 91 years old and nine months of age at the time of her death.
She was born Mary B. Sutton, the oldest daughter of John G. and Virginia Ann Robertson Sutton, on Nov 18, 1863, at Rock Port. She attended school in Rock Port, having graduated from the Rock Port High School and then furthered her education at the Kirksville Normal School, Kirksville, Mo.
In 1914 she moved to Wyoming and taught in schools throughout the state until 1928. She lived for a time in Denver, then returned to Johnson county, Wyo., where she resided and continued her teaching. She retired in 1935 and moved to Denver to make her home.
She was one of six daughters, all of whom became teachers, and her four brothers were all doctors, on being the late Dr. Richard L. Sutton, Kansas City, who was a noted skin specialist.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Theodosia L. Wardell, Rexburg, Idaho; Mrs. Elizabeth Garrett, Sussex, Wyo.; two sons, J. M. Kreutz, Rock Port, and Carl Kreutz, Carbondale, Colo. Also a brother, Dr. W. P. Sutton, Port Isabel, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Gephart, Los Angeles, besides eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."
