"Daniel Lampson Conger was born September 27, 1833 at Knox County, Ohio. He became a carpenter at the age of 14. He went to Chicago and then to Mills county in 1857. He was an early carpenter in Glenwood where he built many of the older business houses, and also did much of the work in the East Liberty Church. He was a successful farmer in later years. He was married to Caroline Wilderson December 25, 1868. The were members of the Universal Church. He died on March 17, 1919. They had four children: Mary, Amy, Charles and Leonard."
