Beatrice Moeller Peters Scheel
A funeral for Beatrice Moeller Peters Scheel, a partner in Peters Metal Fabrication Co. of Portland was Thursday in the chapel of Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
A memorial service for Mrs. Scheel will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church in Corvallis.
She died Tuesday of congestive heart failure in a Corvallis nursing home. Mrs. Scheel was 81.
She was born Nov. 13, 1909, in Minneapolis, Minn. Formerly Beatrice Moeller, Mrs. Scheel moved to Creswell as a child and later moved to Portland, where she was a graduate of Washington High School. She attended both Oregon State University and Portland State University and was a member of Gamma Phi sorority.
She married Raymond S. Peters in 1933 [sic], and he preceded her in death in 1967. She retired from Peters Metal Fabrication in 1973 and in 1982 married Jean W. Scheel. She had lived in Corvallis since that time.
Mrs. Scheel was a member of the Corvallis First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Scheel is survived by her husband, Jean of Corvallis; her sons, Walter Peters of Beaverton and Douglas Peters of Portland; her sisters, Marjorie Hyland and Nadine Moeller of Portland; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Marys Peak chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
