My brother Billy, well he loved to cook, loved to fish with his little sisters, went hunting with Dad a few times, was kind and most generous person. I remember the night he came home with a motorcycle, that Dad told him NOT to get, man, I remember him zooming up and down Park Lane, what a sight that was and He was so happy! He was a soft spoken kind a guy, but that did not stop him from getting what he wanted. I remember the Holiday's with him, he was so much fun to be around, and Halloween was the best. I remember in '72, he spent his whole paycheck on me, Shirley and our baby sister Mamie, by taking us to the amusement park in Kansas City, he was driving the Black 1964 Chevy Impala Super Sport, that Dad gave him. I remember that day like it was yesterday. He was never selfish, always thinking of the next person. On Sunday, April 9, 1978, my Mother and I came home from shopping and we were stop at the front door with the news that you never-never want to hear, that Billy had been shot and killed, and I thought to myself, "My Brother, he's dead." The last time I spoke with him was just a week or two before his death. I remember asking him, "Brother, when are you coming by to see us?", and He said, "Oh, I'll come by and see you soon." The man that shot my brother, took away the most beautiful person that G-D created. I have the most beautiful picture of Billy when he was just 2 or 3 years old on my coffeetable. Our Father, it really hit him hard losing Billy, we will always love and miss him everyday. "Dear Brother, your sister's have been waiting a long time to see you again. I know you are with us everyday. LOVE YOU!
