He was born in Roccaforte del Greco, Italy on February 29, 1936 to Eugenio and Carmela (Pangallo) Pizzi.
Federico graduated from the Instituto Tecnico di Messina, Italy where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He married the love of his life, Antoinette (Cento) Pizzi, on September 25, 1977. Together, they raised their three children while successfully owning and operating Napoli Villa Ristorante Italiano in Beech Grove. Federico was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
Federico was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors, animals, and children. When he could no longer enjoy the outdoors, he could be found quietly sipping an espresso while watching the Italian channel, surrounded by the laughter of his six adoring grandchildren. His life is the sum of treasured memories made in the lives of his family.
Federico is survived by his wife of 43 years, Antoinette (Cento) Pizzi; children, Carmelina (Kris) Pizzi-Mills, Gino (Andrea) Pizzi and Paolo (Casey) Pizzi; grandchildren, Francesca and Fiona Mills, Milania and Giada Pizzi, and Julien and Sebastian Pizzi; sisters, Francesca Pizzi-Giunta and Domenica Pizzi Marino, and his many beloved family members here in the United States and Italy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio and Carmela (Pangallo) Pizzi; brothers, Giuseppe, Carmelo, and Pietro Pizzi; and sister, Teresa Pizzi-Attina.
