Mary Louise Adair, 94, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away May 22, 2017. Mary was born July 2, 1922 to Lucius and Mary (Travis) Easley in Detroit. It was there that she met the love of her life, Normand Adair. Following her service in the United States Navy during WWll, she married Normand on September 9, 1944.

Before retiring, Mary spent many years teaching home economics at Orchard View High School. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved to travel and enjoyed spending time on their boat, especially with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving husband Normand; her daughters, Patricia (Bob Lake) Hesling and Katherine (Steve) Habetler; her grandchildren, Jon (Jessica) Habetler, Charles (Janelle) DeWald, Don (Jodi) Hesling lll, Amanda (Leon) Parker, and James (Jim Dean) DeWald; 4 wonderful great-grandchildren; her niece, Nancy Frain; her nephews: Rob (Robin) Easley and Jon (Barb) Easley; and a host of loving and compassionate caregivers.

Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Adair; brother, William Easley and son-in-law, Donald Hesling Jr.

There will be a private family service at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100). Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
