Clara Jane Edwards Stanley passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. Clara was born August 2, 1933 in Mohawk, WV, a daughter of the late Van and Hattie Bailey. In addition to her parents Clara was preceded in death by her first husband Allen "Owl Head" Edwards; her second husband, Wallace Stanley; three daughters, Judy Justice, Hazel Reynolds and Serena Robinette and her husband Billy; six brothers, Marvin, Thurman, Eddie, Frill, Howard, and Ernie Bailey; five sisters, Ethel New, Gracie Walker, Effie Niece, Glada Bailey, and Omey Bailey; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 24, 2021 at 1 o'clock with Pastor Joey Rowe officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Lower Long Pole near Panther, WV. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family Monday morning, May 24, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV, is assisting the family.
