Peggy Lee Carter, age 67, of Manila, passed from this life Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at her home. Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Audrey Davidson Butler and was a 1972 graduate of Southeastern High School in Detroit. Peggy enjoyed reading, shopping and gardening as well as spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jason Carter in 2000.

Her husband of 40 years, Arthur Carter of the home
Her daughter, Jennifer Carter of Manila

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Dr. Matt Pryor and Rev. Chris Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday morning from 11 until service time.
